Day 1: Tawau - Semporna - Mataking

00.00hrs: Arrive at Tawau Airport. Transfer to Semporna Jetty. The journey takes approximately 1 hour.

NOTES: It is advisable to arrive Tawau airport by 10.30 hrs or 13.30 hrs to catch speedboat which will depart from Semporna Jetty at 12.00 hrs and 15.30 hrs.

00.00 hrs:  Arrive at Semporna Jetty. Transfer by speedboat to Mataking Island. Boat ride takes approximately 40 minutes.

00.00hrs Arrive at The Reef Dive Resort. Welcome drink. Check in.

Day 2: Mataking Island

07.00 hrs: Breakfast at restaurant resort.

09.00 hrs: Free and easy at own leisure. You can enjoy snorkeling or diving at own time.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at hotel. Coffee, tea, cordial drinks are provided at all time throughout the stay in The Reef Dive Resort.

Day 3: Mataking Island

07.00 hrs: Breakfast at restaurant resort.

You are entitle to do the Sipadan Island Day Tour with minimum 3 days 2 nights stay in Mataking Reef Dive Resort.

If you wish to do the Sipadan Island Day Tour , read below, it will be at additional charges:

1 Person: RM 1,340.00 per person
2 Persons: RM 740.00 per person
3 Persons: RM 540.00 per person
4 Persons: RM 440.00 per person
5 Persons: RM 400.00 per person
6 Persons: RM 370.00 per person

How to calculate? Means, if on the day you wish to go to Sipadan only have 1 guest, then you have to pay RM 1340 + RM 140 (Permit Fees) = RM 1489.

If there is 6 person wants to go, including yourself, then you pay only RM 370 + RM 140 = RM 510.  Maximum is 6 person in the boat to go Sipadan from Mataking Island.

09:00hrs – Expected arrival at Sipadan Island and report to Sabah Park. 1st dive/Boat snorkeling
11:00hrs – Estimated 2nd dive / boat snorkeling
12:00hrs – Lunch (packed from resort)
13:30hrs – Estimated 3rd dive / boat snorkeling
15:00hrs – Boat transfer back to Mataking Resort
16:30hrs – Expected arrival back to Mataking Resort

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and afternoon tea will be provided in the resort.

Day 4: Mataking Island - Semporna Jetty - Tawau Airport

07.00 hrs: Breakfast at restaurant resort.

11.00 hrs: Check out. Transfer from Mataking Island to Semporna Jetty.

Note: Boat out time are 11.00 hrs and 14.00 hrs.

12.00 hrs: Arrive at Semporna Jetty. Transfer from Semporna Jetty to Tawau airport. The journey takes approximately 1 hour.

13.00 hrs: Arrive at Tawau airport. Tour ends.

NOTES for SIPADAN ONE DAY TOUR:

1. Due to the recent ruling management of Sabah Park which has a restricted daily quota, all guests must apply permit in ADVANCE (preferably 1 MONTH before arrival) on a First Come First Serve basis to secure the limited permit being shared by all the resort operators at the same region.
2. Please be informed that the current permit is NON REFUNDABLE / RM 140.00 per person per day entry (subject to Sabah Park changes).
3. This special arrangement requires an additional boat fees of RM 1,380.00 per boat. This boat fee can be shared with other guests (if any) upon permit approval (maximum 6 guests in one boat).
4. All types of activities being offered by the company on the island especially dive activities / Sipadan trip is subjected to bad sea, weather conditions / poor visibility and also diver’s own physical abilities (e.g.: injuries, intoxication, hangovers and etc). Therefore, we reserve the final decision and rights to either proceed or abort any activities / dives for any safety reasons.
5. It takes 80 minutes of speed boat ride to get to Sipadan Island from Mataking Island
6. The Sipadan Agreement Form will be given out to ALL confirmed Sipadan participants upon arrival at reception hall during registration, the purpose of the agreement form is to verify Sipadan charges (as in permit fee and boat fee)

Cancellation for Sipadan Day Trip/Excursion

1. In the event of cancellation, the following cancellation shall applies:
   Before guests’ arrival/check-in date: Free of charge
2. Upon arrival: Permit fee at RM 140.00 per person shall be charged.
3. Upon signing of the Sipadan Agreement Form: Boat fee + permit fee shall be charged (Boat fee will be charged according to the number of persons on that specific date)
