Trip Overview

Penang Half Day Heritage Tour (SIC / Shared / Join-In Tour) begins with hotel pick-up at 9:00 am or 2:00 pm from hotels in George Town and Batu Ferringhi.

The first stop is Fort Cornwallis, the largest old fort in Malaysia. Here you can learn about Penang’s early history and see the old cannons and sea views around the fort.

Next, you will visit the Streets of Harmony, a special area where different religions are located close to each other. You can see temples, churches, and mosques that show Penang’s multicultural culture.

The tour continues to Little India, a lively area with colorful shops, Indian spices, music, and traditional snacks. After that, you will visit Chinatown, where you can see old heritage buildings, clan houses, and local shops.

Before the tour ends, you will stop at Wat Chayamangkalaram, a famous temple with one of the largest reclining Buddha statues in the world. It is a peaceful place where visitors can admire the golden Buddha and learn about Thai Buddhist culture.

The tour ends with hotel drop-off around 1pm or 6pm, returning to the same pick-up locations in George Town and Batu Ferringhi.
