We will pick you up from Kuala Lumpur at 7am, then travel to Melaka. The first stop is Kampung Parit Penghulu, where you’ll arrive by 9am. The day will start with explore paddy fields to see how rice is grown and harvested. They will also learn about the process of palm oil harvesting and get hands-on experience with rubber tree tapping, offering insight into two of Malaysia’s important agricultural practices.
Next, students will engage in a creative activity by learning and doing batik painting, a traditional Malaysian art form. At 11:00 AM, it’s time for a snack and brunch before diving into more fun learning activities. Students will get to play Gasing, a traditional Malay spinning top game, and try their hand at making ondeh-ondeh, a sweet treat made from glutinous rice flour and palm sugar. They will also learn to weave ketupat, a traditional rice dumpling wrapped in palm leaves, and participate in other traditional village games.
