I would say – fly to Nepal, transit in Nepal, spend a night or several nights in Nepal, then fly to Bhutan, spend a few days in Bhutan, then fly back to Nepal, spend a night again or a few nights, then fly back to Malaysia.
There is no direct flight from Malaysia to Bhutan. Only two airlines operate flights to and from Bhutan. Druk Air(the national airline) and Bhutan Airlines operate inbound flights from various cities within the region. There are direct flights to Paro, Bhutan from Singapore, Bangkok, Dhaka, Calcutta, Kathmandu, Bagdora, Guwahati and New Delhi. Therefore Malaysians looking to visit Bhutan must first travel to any of the aforementioned cities and catch a flight on either of the airlines to Bhutan.
Why Kathmandu? not Bangkok, Singapore, New Delhi etc?
Below is the suggested itinerary for Nepal Bhutan Tour from Malaysia 6 days 5 nights.
Above is the itinerary for those who want to travel to Bhutan via Nepal. I guess you will be wondering how much to travel from Malaysia to Bhutan via Nepal?
If to follow the above itinerary, and you are traveling in a group of 2 person (2 to go), you will need to pay
Total you will spend only USD 500 + USD 1200 + USD 100 + USD 30 = USD 1830
